Our world is changing and virtual entertainers will play an increasingly important role.
What are they?
Virtual entertainers are a new category of imaginary personalities. They may exist as digital avatars on your phone, holographic performers on a stage, or characters in augmented reality.
At Chatables we’re building virtual entertainers who chat with you through your smart speaker and/or voice-enabled device. You don’t need a screen to see them. You talk to them almost like you’d talk to a friend.
Imagine how someone isolated for health reasons could benefit from interactions with a virtual entertainer--an engaging personality chatting with them to lift their spirits, keep them focused, and help them pass the time.
Our virtual characters come to you through your smart speaker.
But our talking characters don’t tell you the time or answer questions like “how far away is the Moon?” Let’s leave those chores to Alexa, Siri and Google's Assistant.
What Do They Do?
Virtual entertainers are built to--surprise!--entertain you!
Our virtual entertainers currently reside in the imaginary world of Storyteller Cafe. They are “real people,” in the sense that each has a rich personal history and ongoing challenges.
Matthew, Joanna, Amy and Brian all love chatting with you about what’s going on in their lives. If you play along, they'll even make you a trusted confidante in their personal conflicts --or perhaps in their evil machinations!
Need to take care of household chores, or maybe just relax and unwind? Get caught up on the latest gossip unfolding in the virtual entertainer's world and weigh in with your opinion.
These characters also love performing engaging stories crafted by talented independent authors of "conversational stories." All the stories are built from the ground-up to draw you into the action through engaging back-and-forth dialogue with your personal narrator.
